Ishmael Eugene Rogers

Ishmael Eugene Rogers, 88, of Peru, Indiana has left us for bigger and better adventures on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Ishmael was born on August 17, 1937 to Hazel (Robbins) and Matthew Rogers.

On August 6, 1958 Ishmael married Virginia Eileen Simmons-Doan. They were married for 63 years before Virginia began her new journey on February 11, 2022.

Ishmael and Virginia had 10 children. Mischelle (John) Pulver, Rebecca Miller, Katherine (Robert) Melanson, Ishmael Rogers II, Nathan (Johanna) Rogers, Michael Rogers, Amy (Roger) Ramsey, Virginia Mae (Mark) Detamore, Eugenia Kay (Jeff) Chandler, Jody (Leslie) Rogers.

Ishmael and Virginia had 18+ grandchildren and 44+ great-grandchildren.

Ishmael will be greeted on his new adventures by his parents, Matthew and Hazel, wife Virginia, a daughter, 2 daughters-in-law, 2 sons-in-law, brothers, sisters, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ishmael will be greatly missed by all.

There will be no services.
