Hildred Mary (Graf) Leedy

Hildred Mary (Graf) Leedy, 92, of Peru, Indiana went to her forever home on Saturday, April 4,2026 at Century Villa Health Care, Greentown, Indiana. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She was born December 18, 1933, in Peru to Frank and Mary (Douglass) Graf and graduated from Peru High School in 1951. Retired from Schneider Electric in Peru, Hildred loved rollerskating, flower gardening, and enjoyed many weekends boating at the reservoir. She was a strong, independent role model to her family and neighbors.

Hildred showed her love for her family with food. Her delicious pies and cookies were well known in her family and beyond. She enjoyed sharing her love of baking with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whom she adored.

She is survived by her daughter Karen (Stapleton) Berglan (Thomas), Amboy; granddaughters Kelley (Berglan) Simmons (David), Amboy and Laura Berglan (Ben Davis), Tucson, Arizona; great grandchildren Alaina and Aubrey Simmons, Amboy and Cullin Davis, Tucson, Arizona; and several nieces and nephew. Hildred also leaves behind many cherished friends and neighbors.

Hildred was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harlen “Lefty” Graf and Harold “Jake” Graf, a sister, Helen L. Bevington, two sisters-in-law, Virginia “Ginny” Graf and Gladys Graf, and a brother-in-law Billy Bevington.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Matt Myers officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miami County Helping Hands, 176 North Broadway, Peru, Indiana.
