Harry M. Denham, Jr.
Harry Moore Denham, Jr. passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was 67.
Harry was a loving Dad to Harley, great brother, beloved uncle and a friend to many. He was born in Peru, Indiana and made Peru his home.
Harry was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He raced Harley Davidson motorcycles at the pro level and won multiple trophies. For pleasure riding, he enjoyed his Harley Davidson Street Glide.
He inherited his work ethic from his Dad and could repair anything, worked long hours and provided for his family. Harry also had great musical talent in playing drums and in fact, still has his drum set from high school.
Harry retired in 2022 from Skillman Corporation. He was most proud of his accomplishments in overseeing the construction of schools, aquatic centers and managing a team. Harry was tough, fair and achieved milestones in his work.
He will be greatly missed by everyone. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Betty. He is survived by his son, Harley; companion Donieta Ross; brothers Matt (Carla); Dwight (Aida); sister Karen (Greg); nieces Michelle (Gabe) and Jennifer along with great nieces Adelle, Ayla and Aubrie Hudson.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, January 13 with funeral services at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Kenny Cole will officiate. Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home is handling arrangements, 105 W. Third Street, Peru.
Godspeed to you, Harry. I hope your hill climb to heaven was smooth. We will love you forever.
