Glenda K. Henderson-Maiseroulle, 78, of Peru, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at her residence.
She was born in Fort Scott, Kansas on January 29, 1944, to Rosemary and Glen Henderson. They preceded her in death. Glenda married Ernest Maiseroulle Jr. on February 1, 1962. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2020.
She is survived by their daughter, Sherri A. Gasaway, of Peru, Indiana, and son Todd E. Maiseroulle (Amy Johnson-Maiseroulle) of Peru, Indiana; as well as her three granddaughters Ashlee Shropshire (Ben Shropshire), Ty Anne Evans (Matt Evans), Caitlyn Maiseroulle; and her five great-grandchildren, Lileigh Gasaway, Corbin Shropshire, Broden Shropshire, Willow Evans, and Nora Evans.
Glenda graduated from Pitt State High School in Pittsburg, Kansas in 1961, majoring in art and science. She was retired from American Stationary in 1987. She belonged to the Ladies Shrine Guild, Kokomo, Indiana, as well as Delta Theta Tau, Peru, Indiana.
Glenda was an avid craft-maker and had a passion for reading. She also loved to travel with the Kokomo Shrine Club. Her personality was often described as a “foxy lady.”
Glenda was also often described as a classy, sassy, lady devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, whom family was her main priority. She always had a listening ear for her family. Not only did she have compassion for her family, she also had devotion for her two Yorkie puppies. Glenda loved traveling to Florida to see her best friends - special acknowledgement of friends Sue Martin and Kathy Wells.
Visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 4pm, with Pastor J. Robert Clark officiating.
