Geraldine “Jerri” Louise (Fisher) Kunkle, 103, of Peru, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Dukes Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 8, 1921 in Amboy, Indiana to Floyd L. Fisher and Golda Marie (Elshire) Fisher. Jerri married Gerald M. Kunkle on April 4, 1942. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1986.
Jerri worked several different places throughout the years. She was employed as a secretary to Mr. Honeywell in Wabash, Indiana. She also worked in the Butler Township Trustees Office, the Cutler Swingle Chrysler Auto Agency, and Berkshire’s Law Office as a secretary. Jerri volunteered for many years as a Pink Lady at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the First Christian Church in Peru.
She is survived by her son, Alan (Marie) Kunkle of Kokomo, Indiana; grandsons Jeff (Tia) Langdon of Indiantown, South Carolina, Craig (Julie) Kunkle of Carmel, Indiana, and granddaughter Jenn (Tracey) Kunkle of Sacramento, California. Also surviving are great grandchildren: Tilly, Harry, Bobby, and Dotty Kunkle and Alyssa, Emily, and Joshua Langdon.
Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald, her daughter, Karen Kunkle Langdon, and her brother, Gerald “Scotty” Fisher.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor George McCarty officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dukes Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and Miami County YMCA Transit.
