Frances Elizabeth (Hickman) Henze, 82, of Bunker Hill passed away at her residence on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
She was born in Franklin, Kentucky to the late James Robert and Beatrice (Ellis) Hickman on January 16, 1941. Frances married Edwin “Ed” Henze on October 3, 1964 and he survives.
She worked as a secretary for the United States Air Force and Navy. Frances loved flowers and often times enjoyed chatting with others about her favorite kinds. She was known for her love of candy and antiquing. Frances took great pride in her beautiful glass collection. She was a simple woman, but her family held utmost importance in her life.
In addition to her husband, Frances is survived by her sons; Michael (Lisa) Henze of New Haven, Indiana and Robert Henze of Nashville, Tennessee, grandchildren; Courtney, Chauncy, and Keegan, great granddaughter, Selina, and brothers; Jimmy Hickman of Nashville, Tennessee and Joe (Linda) Hickman of Russellville, Kentucky.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Hickman.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana from 10am to 11am. The funeral service began at 11am with Pastor Kenny Cole officiating. Burial took place at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
Frances’s family wanted to give a special, heartfelt thanks to Guardian Angel Hospice for their gentle and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Guardian Angel Hospice.
