Elizabeth Wanda Starrett, 15 months, passed away at 9:19am on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 at her father, Dustin Starrett’s home in Peru, Indiana.
She was born in Peru, Indiana at Dukes Memorial Hospital on October 24th, 2023, the daughter of Dustin Starrett and Elizabeth White.
Elizabeth was a Riley baby since birth. She had BBIS Syndrome, which stands for Beaulieu-Boycott-Innes Syndrome. BBIS is a rare syndrome that causes developmental delay and distinctive facial features. She had survived not breathing at birth as a preemie, g-tube surgery and heart surgery, along with the first time she got pneumonia.
Elizabeth was the most loving, sweetest, and quietest little girl. She loved to watch her tv, laugh at her brother and sister. She loved cuddles, if you didn’t cuddle when she wanted them, she’d cry until you’d cuddle with her. She had an owl, it was the only toy she was okay with playing with. If we moved it to the other side of the bed, while she was eating, she’d roll over to get it.
She had lived with her father Dustin Starrett, his girlfriend Alexis McClanahan and two of her siblings, Jackson and Kasmerie. She enjoyed standing in the walker watching her siblings run around and play with her toys. She was always cooing, and tried singing to music. She loved dancing and kicking her legs up. Her favorite show was Strawberry Shortcake. Her smile and laugh was contagious. She also went by the name Sissy.
Cremation will be held on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025. We will be hosting a celebration of life in the next couple of months. We haven’t decided a day or time yet. When we do, we’ll let friends and family know ahead of time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
