Dorothy Myers Obituary
It is with great sadness, yet fond memory, that the family of Dorothy Pearl (Owens) Myers announces her passing on Saturday, September 10, 2022 after 87 years of life.
Dorothy is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Elvin Myers.
She leaves behind one daughter, Bobbi (Dave) Charters, three sons; Danny (Beth) Myers, Phil (Allyson) Myers, and Alan (Debbie) Myers.
Dorothy was blessed in childhood with 11 brothers and sisters, Don, Dale, Deloris, Annabelle, Buster, Ellen, Doris, Joyce, David, Jan, and Debbie.
She is blessed with 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Dorothy loved her family and her church.
She and her husband loved traveling to Florida in the winter and cruising with friends whenever possible.
In her early life as a wife and mom, she spent hour upon hour watching her kids play baseball.
She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Peru Church of the Brethren, 134 East Fifth Street, Peru, Indiana from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Phil Troxell officiating. Burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery in Denver, Indiana.
