Dorothy Moon Jones

Dorothy Moon Jones, 90 passed away on Monday July 21, 2014 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She was born in Peru on October 29, 1923 to Arthur & Helen Stewart Moon. Dorothy married Harold W. Jones on August 15, 1942 and he survives. Dorothy graduated from Peru High School in 1941. She retired from the Miami County Planning Commission. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, TOPS Club, Peru Fireman's Auxiliary, and the First Baptist Church. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Christy (Jeff) Wouster, grandson Jeff (Melody) Douglass & children, and granddaughter Heather (Doug) Muzzillo. Nieces, Sandy (Rick) Ploss & daughter Shelly, Tammy Cooper & children Cameron & Tarryn, Candy (Monroe) Alfrey & son Simon. Brother-in-law, Homer (Bud) Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 3 brothers, Jack Moon, Bill Moon, & Dick Moon. The family would like to thank Millers Merry Manor, Dukes Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Hoover for all the great care that she has been given. She resided at Millers Merry Manor, where she will be missed by the staff & residents. Memorials may be made to the activity fund at Millers Merry Manor. Friends may call from 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM Friday at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel (Peru, Indiana) with Dick Wiles officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
