With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Dominic David James LaCoss, who went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2026, at the age of 35. Dominic was born on November 13, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona; grew up in the Goodyear/Buckeye area of Arizona; eventually moving to Anderson, Indiana in June of 2024.
He had a strong love for the Lord. Accepting Jesus at an early age of 5, his faith never wavered, even in difficult and challenging times. He had a way of explaining scripture that even those who struggled to understand understood.
Dominic was a dedicated father who loved his daughter with all his heart. She was his shining light and his dream for her was to be happy and to give her a home where she felt loved, accepted, and safe. He also had a tenderness for animals, especially cats. This love for cats also overflowed to his daughter.
He graduated from Arizona Automated Institute as a diesel mechanic in 2010. This began his love/hate relationship and long career of working on all types of vehicles and heavy equipment. Before moving to Indiana he owned his own company, Hassayampa Life Mechanics.
He loved music, riding ATV’s and dirt bikes, hunting, anything Star Wars, and Baby (his beloved stuffed animal).
Dominic is survived by his daughter, BrookLynn LaCoss; his parents, Ronald and Ruth LaCoss; his brother, Alex LaCoss, his grandparents, David and Patricia LaCoss; his grandfather, James Barnes; his siblings by choice, Nicole and William Lowe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as other extended family members and close friends, who were like family, that loved him deeply.
Dominic is preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Finchum, whom he was very close to.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 1:00 pm, with services immediately following at 2:00 pm, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W 3rd St, Peru, Indiana. The services will be officiated by Dominic’s uncle, William “Bill” Pulley.
In addition, a Celebration of Life will be held in Arizona at a later date.
Dominic, you will forever remain in our hearts and never be forgotten. We will love and cherish you endlessly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
