Dianne “Deedee” Erlbeck (Waymire ), 74, of Peru, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. Deedee was born on October 2, 1949, in Piney Point, Maryland, to Walter Waymire and Jeanette (Bender) Waymire. She married Luke Erlbeck on October 20, 1990, who preceded her in death.
Deedee was a proud 1969 graduate of Peru High School and a skilled beautician who co-owned Shear Fantasy Beauty Salon in Peru. She was known for her loving nature, always putting others first, and being a dependable sister and cherished aunt. Her generosity and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving family: her brother Christopher Waymire and his wife Deborah of Monticello, IN; her sister Sally Lytle and her husband Bo of Peru, IN; and her brother Joe Waymire and his wife Ana of Lafayette, IN., nieces: Melody and spouse Brian, Janel and spouse Michael, Robin, Amber, Kristen and spouse Rusty, and Laura and spouse Jeff. She was also a beloved great-aunt devoted to her to her many great nieces and nephews: Hailey, Maverick, Kennedy, Owen, Aubrey, Abbey, Stella, Luken, Shepherd, Ellarose, and Graham, along with her great-great niece Beatrice.
Deedee was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luke, her parents Walt and Jeanette, her sister Roxanne Waymire, her nephews Bryce and Michael, and niece Melissa.
A celebration of Deedee’s life will be held this fall, honoring her legacy of kindness and love.
