Diana Sue (Sutton) Moore

Diana Sue Moore, 66, of Peru passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

Diana was born on July 20, 1956 in Marion, Indiana to Joseph Arthur and Sharon (Ramer) Sutton Sr. She married Chester (Scooter) Moore on July 23, 1995. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2017.

Diana was a waitress at the cafeteria at General Motors in Marion where she worked for about 15 years. Throughout the years, she enjoyed spending time at Caldwell Lake. Diana could most recently be found working at Aperion Care Peru as a dietary aide. She also enjoyed going to flea markets where she had her own booth. Diana liked playing bingo and was a proud gardener. She took great pride in her roses. Of all the things that Diana enjoyed, family was most important to her. She dearly loved her family and grandchildren.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Angela Sutton (fiancé Walter Hummel) of Peru, Indiana; grandchildren, Suzzanna (Derrick) Stevens, Daniela Ann Bailey (fiancé  Arin Hill), and Fellica Dawn Sutton (fiancé Luke Parker); great-grandchildren, William J. Bailey, Katherine Bailey, Asher Hill, and one great grandbaby on the way. Also surviving are brothers Jimmy (Marilyn) Sutton and Joe (Angela) Sutton of Marion, Indiana and sisters Theresa (Robbie) Turner of Marion, Indiana and Cindy Small of Peru, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Diana’s honor.
