Diana ”Darlene” Lewis, 74, of Peru, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
She was born in Peru on July 22, 1946 to Thomas and Doris (Launder) Roser. She married Phil Lewis on July 10, 1965, and he survives. Darlene held a Bachelor of Science degree, and retired from Delco as an electrician. She had worked there for 33 years, and was the first female electrician for GM Corporation. Her Christian faith was very important to her and she loved the Lord with all of her heart. She enjoyed fishing, painting (she was a very talented artist), and crocheting. She attended the Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Phil, and their children: Mark Lewis of Lafayette, Matthew “Matt” (Shawna) Lewis of Kokomo and their children Eli and Ethan, and Bethany Lewis of Peru and her children Emilie, Brayden, and Conrad. Also surviving are brother Michael Roser and sister Karen Babcock, both of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Thomas “Tommy” Roser and Charles Roser.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm Street, Bunker Hill, Indiana on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 1pm--3pm. with a memorial service beginning at 3pm, with Pastor Tim Gates officiating. Burial will take place at Rankin Cemetery.
