Dennis Paul Masters, a life-long resident of Peru, IN and Macy, IN, was called home unexpectedly on February 5, 2023 at the young age of 33.
Dennis is survived by his parents Dennis and Linda Masters; his sister, Ashley Masters; his nephew and niece, Toby and Serena; and his maternal grandmother, Marietta Hostetler. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather/grandmother Jim and Joan Masters; maternal grandfather Lester Hostetler; maternal uncles Donald "Ducky" McCool and Jeff McCool.
Dennis was born in Peru, IN on April 10th, 1989 at Dukes Memorial Hospital to Dennis and Linda Masters. He graduated with his GED in August 2022 and was recently attending college classes at Ivy Tech Kokomo.
Dennis enjoyed skateboarding, watching hockey, and listening to music. He also was an intuitive keyboard player and amateur songwriter.
He was often known for cracking jokes and making others laugh to have a good time. He was also handy around the house, often taking on difficult projects such as building skateboard ramps, clearing out the barns, and mowing the lawn.
Dennis was known for his kind and sweet hearted gestures and would help someone out if they needed it. He also was somewhat of a spiritual man and always saw the best in others. He enjoyed interacting with his nephew Toby, and niece Serena, whether it was watching movies or playing video games. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life viewing is scheduled starting at 11am with services at 1pm followed by a dinner gathering on February 18, 2023 at Zion Chapel Church, 915 South Broadway, Peru, IN 46970. Senior Pastor Rod Correll will officiate. The family requests cash donations towards funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.
