Debra "Debby" Ann (Latta) Raber

Debra Ann “Debby” Raber, 61, of Peru, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 5, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Debby was born February 4, 1962 in Kokomo, Indiana to Charles and Marcella Latta of Peru. She married Gary Raber on October 20, 1979, and he survives.

Debby worked in the Veteran Services Office at the Miami County Courthouse. She loves her job serving the Veterans, including her boss, Jay Kendall. She was a smiling face and bright light to so many. She loved her family and friends and had a very caring and giving heart. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Sherry Raber, granddaughters, Shelbey Brown and Lilly Raber and great-granddaughter Eleanor, all of Peru; sister Vicky McCain of Kokomo, niece Kelly Smith and Bret Smith of Carmel and great niece Ashelyn McKillip of Lafayette.

Debby is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Thomas (Tom) McCain.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Solomon David officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
