David R. Robison Jr. peacefully passed away November 16, 2025 at home. He was born November 13, 1944 in Peru, to Lois and David Robison Sr., both deceased. On July 11, 1965, he married Nancy Beck. This July, they celebrated 60 years of marriage. David attended Peru High school and after graduation worked for the Norfolk and Southern railroad for many years as an engineer.
David was very creative. For over 20 years he had a stained glass business, designing and making beautiful windows, doors and lamp shades. He also was an avid bicyclist. The bigger the hills the better for him and long distances were never a problem. He always was ready for the 4th of July, as he was a certified pyrotechnician. He and Nancy loved antiquing and spent many hours in the shops.
He is survived by his siblings Carol Rockenbaugh, Susan Leistner and little sister Sheree McClellan, son Christopher (Kimberly) Robison and daughter Janet Ancil. He was a loving, supportive and “cool” grandpa, always available when needed for grandson Jacob (Mykala)
Robison, granddaughters Ashley (Max Dewees), Sydne (Dave Dicken), Destiny Ancil and step-granddaughters Kiersten Morton (Joey Beck) and Kinzie (Larry) Eidson. He had many great grandchildren that he was so proud of: Lilly, Thor, Bentley, Domonic, Jasper, Maverick and Fletcher, great step-grandchildren Harlow, Delilah, Cameron, Quinn, Bella and Harper. Also, sisters in-law Sara (Mike) McGuire, Virginia Giek, (Bob Giek, deceased), brother in-law David (Christine) Beck and his loving dog, Tia, who was often at his side taking care of him.
Many heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and kind Gentiva Hospice nurses, aides and office personnel who took great care of him and also his morning helpers Marcia Woolley and Joyce Bostic who lovingly watched over him. Per David’s request, there will not be a funeral, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to: Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, www.michaeljfox.org
