David North

David North, 55, of Peru, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

He was born on June 24, 1965 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Edward and Joan North.  He married Gloria Nickle on February 20, 2013, and she survives.  He worked as a Sergeant  at Miami Correctional Facility and most recently at the Pizza Hut in Peru.  David was also a member of the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard.  He was very proud to have served his country.  He was an avid fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Brewers baseball, and good cigars.

He is survived by his mother, his wife, 3 stepchildren: Miranda Dulin of Tennessee, Kevin Nickle of Peru, and Matthew Dulin of Chalmers, Indiana; 5 children: Chandler North, Autumn North, Katie North, Emily North, and Josh North, all of Peru; as well as several grandchildren, and a brother Dan Whitley of Wisconsin.  He is also survived by his fur baby girl “Corky”.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Ole Olsen Memorial Theatre, 154 South Broadway, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will follow at 6pm, with Pastor Vince Darland officiating.  Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.  Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
