Dale Reno Fouts

Dale R. Fouts passed away at 6:25pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was married to Agnes Sizemore-Fouts which preceded him in death July 14, 1992.

Dale loved all sports, but baseball Cubbies especially. Fishing, hunting, and reading books was just a few favorite things. He also loved raising a garden which was part of life and childhood.

He was employed at Federal Fertilizer for 16 years, and then worked at CMI-Wabash until his retirement in 2002.

His parents, Herbert and Geneva Fouts, preceded him in death along with 3 siblings: Dave Fouts, Danny Fouts, and Duane Fouts.

He is survived by a daughter Carrie S. Townsend (Bob); his aunt, Doris Jean, of Kokomo; a cousin, Bob, of Bunker Hill; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Fouts, of Fort Wayne. He has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. We can't forget his two little buddies, Charlie "Shortpants" and P.J. Thunderbird that he loved dearly. He loved animals.

Dale will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Rick Stone officiating. Burial will take place at IOOF Cemetery in Deedsville, Indiana.
