Charles “Chuck” E. Lewis, 70, of Bunker Hill, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru.
Chuck was born on February 6, 1955 in Peru, Indiana to Paul and Arlene (Bevington) Lewis. He was a 1973 graduate of Maconaquah High School. Chuck started working at REMC on February 1, 1979 and was employed there thru February 28, 2019. Thru his 40 year career, Chuck started as a Work Order Clerk and advanced to Director of Office Services and eventually became the Director of IT duties before his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, tennis, and listening to music.
Chuck is survived by his brother, Phil Lewis, of Bunker Hill, Indiana; his nephews Mark Lewis of Lafayette, Indiana and Matthew (Shawna) Lewis of Kokomo, Indiana; a niece, Bethany (Jeff) McCool of Peru, Indiana; great nephews: Brayden McCool, Conrad McCool, Eli Lewis, Ethan Lewis and great niece, Emilie McCool. Also surviving are special friends who are like family: Gene Miles, Wayne Ladd, Jody Long, Susan Wagoner, and Kevin Glassburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Steven Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am at Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm Street, Bunker Hill, Indiana 46914. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Pastor David Lantz officiating. Burial will take place at Rankin Cemetery in Miami County, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Museum, 51 North Broadway, Peru, Indiana 46970.
