Charles Allen Miller

Charles Allen Miller, 75, of Peru passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

He was born on December 24, 1948 to the late Robert and Betty (Moffatt) Miller. Charles married Frances “Tish” (Harding) on June 12, 1993 and she survives.

Charles was a proud member of the United States Air Force and later worked at Carter Fuel Systems. He lovingly donated a kidney to his mother in 1972 which allowed him to be a part of the first transplant in Peru.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his children; Candace (Paul) McCune of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Kimberly (Aaron) Rife of Peru, Charles Miller II of Fayetteville, North Carolina, grandchildren; Steven (Hannah) McCune, Anna-Marie Ogden, Nathan Miller, Samuel McCune, Stephanie McCune, great grandchildren; Natalie, Evelyn, and Madelyn McCune, and brother, Robert H. Miller.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia Molencupp, and great grandson, Logan McCune.

Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Norm Snyder officiating. Interment will take place at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Indiana.

Military rites will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
