Carol Jean Day

Carol Jean Day, 67, of Peru passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital Ft. Wayne.

She was born November 4, 1955 in Wabash, Indiana to Richard E. Day and Marilyn J. (Heagy) Day.

Carol was a graduate of Peru High School class of 1974 and Ivy Tech 2001.

Carol was a true friend and loved them all dearly. She was a member of Richvalley United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed doing stained glass and any kind of art. Her earlier years growing up on the family farm nurtured her love of animals.

Carol is survived by her siblings, Barbara Faust, Granger, Susan (Bradley) Haines, Peru, Alan (Denise) Day, Peru, and Marilyn (Terry) Stuckwisch, Winona Lake, nieces and nephews; Jim Faust, Brian Faust, Carrie Jo Haines, Alyssa Day, Chelsey Hanson, Molly Day, Sydney Day, Kyle Dawalt, Phillip Dawalt, Grant Stuckwisch, several great nieces and nephews, uncle and aunt John & Carolyn Heagy and Aunt Betty Heagy, and also close friends; Dan Denniston and Bill Riebly.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.
