Bruce Alan Linkenhoker, 69, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Bruce was born September 5, 1951 to Max D. Linkenhoker and Eileen D. Linkenhoker in Peru, Indiana. He was a 1970 graduate of Peru High School. Bruce worked at General Motors for 36 years as a millwright. In 1983, he married the love of his life, Brenda (Sturch) Linkenhoker. They had two children, Adam Linkenhoker and Amber Moores, both of Peru.
Bruce loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Bruce was a friend to many, and never met a stranger. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his joy. Bruce attended the Peru Church of the Brethren and was a life member of the Peru Maennerchor.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eileen, father Max, and brother Jerry Linkenhoker. He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda of 38 years; brother Mike (Shirley) Linkenhoker; children: Adam (Ashlee) Linkenhoker, and Amber (Josh) Moores; grandchildren: Mackenzie Howard, Kasey Comp, Brae Moores, Berklee Linkenhoker, and Noah Linkenhoker; great-grandchildren: Greyson Howard and Paisley Howard; and several nephews and nieces.
Join us as we celebrate the wonderful life of Bruce. A loving husband, father, papaw, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend to many. We will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry, and to remember a wonderful man who is greatly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2pm-5pm at Peru Maennerchor, 154 South Wabash Street, Peru, Indiana. Masks are optional.
