Betty Brown Obituary

Betty Jayne (Shank) Bobo, Baker, Brown, Brown was born in Peru, June 25, 1927 and passed away December 27, 2021. She was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin (Frank) Shank and Blanch (Hatfield) Shank. She had 2 brothers Garl, Bill her twin brother, 2 sisters Maxine and Bernice. Betty has 2 daughters Charlene and Roy of Chili, Patricia of Peru, and a son Charles of Florida. Betty has 7 grand kids and 27 great grand kids, and 20 great great grand kids.

1 grand kid deceased 2 great grand kids deceased.

Betty was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and lived in Peru all her life.

Betty’s mother passed when she and her twin brother were 8 years old and her sister’s helped raise them.

A descendant of Hatfield’s and McCoy’s-this woman loves her family but with all of her 85 lbs she can be a devil in disguise if you piss her off.

Born in 1927-Married at a young age

She has two beautiful daughters and a son. When her first husband left her during the war for another woman-she worked for 25 cents an hour to try and make ends meet. She ended up having to send her children to foster care. Fast forward a few years and she remarried and was able to get her children back. Fast forward again and she loses her 2nd husband of a blood clot. She moves in with our family for a short time while, she builds a small house in Peru, Indiana. She remarries. Several years later she loses her 3rd husband.

Time fly’s forward 94 years old-what a hell of a ride she has lived in this world. We love you to the moon and back, we understand you’re tired and ready to go home, we hope whatever of whomever you are waiting on comes soon so the suffering ends-God is waiting with open arms to bring you home.
