Ben J. Hensley II, of Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at home.
He was born September 1, 1963 in Peru, Indiana to the late Ben and Shirley (Clark) Hensley.
Ben married Amy Seaton on October 15, 2007 and she survives.
He served our country in the Army as a motor transport operator from 1981 to 1984. He retired from Chrysler as a production worker.
Ben loved taking strolls in the yard with his coffee, taking care of his yard, and watching wildlife. His family and faith were the two most important things to him. Ben spent a lot of time working in his garage with his boys and other loved ones. He shared a special connection with his brother, Randy, and their relationship was much deeper than brothers-they truly were best friends. He enjoyed watching movies in the presence of his family. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children; Ben Hensley of Peru, Matthew (Alexandria) Hensley of California, Jeremiah (Kelsey) Hensley of Peru, Taylor (Jordan) Mills of Russiaville, grandchildren; Jaxon Ben, Sawyer Michael, Scarlett Nicole, Remy Renee, Carter Thomas, and Harper Rae. Ben is also survived by his siblings, Sarita Hensley of Peru, Christy Stevens of Peru, Tamra (Troy) Proffitt of Peru, and Randy (Lisa) Hensley of Kokomo, and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held with family. Military Rites will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
