Augustalee Marie Steele

Augustalee Marie Steele, 21 months, passed away at 5:32pm on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born in Peru, Indiana at Dukes Memorial Hospital on December 27, 2018, the daughter of Olivia Steele and John Nice, and birthfather Nathan Eudy.

Augustalee, or “LeeLee”, was the most loving, happy, sweet but sour, little girl.  She was always looking for a thrill, loved to dance, sing and play.  There was never a dull moment with her.  She always had something to laugh about.  She loved to take endless videos and pictures, just to watch and laugh at.

She is survived by her parents, Olivia Steele, John Nice, and Nathan Eudy, and a brother, Hunter; as well as grandparents Traci Steele and Frank Reynolds, Robert and Christy Nice, and Jeff and Donna Eudy.  Also surviving are uncle Joseph Steele and aunt Whitney Steele, and great aunts and uncles Ken and Toma Piotrowski, Jim and Trisha Pattison, Trina Grant, Gary and Terri Egan, Tyla Steele and Ronnie Sikes, Michael and Michelle Steele, Steve and Jainie Steele, and Becky Young.

She was preceded in death by great aunts and uncles Jeffery Steele, Brian Steele, Cheryle Steele, Toni and Steve Garner, and Robert Grant.

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 2pm on Friday, October 9, 2020 at First Assembly of God, 365 Monroe Avenue, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will follow at 2pm, with Pastor Steve Reshkus officiating.  Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.  Due to the covid-19 health crisis, face coverings will be required in the church, and social distancing will be observed.
