Arlice Fern McKinney (Correll), 79, of Peru, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 15th, 2025, at Wabash Parkview Hospital.
She was born September 25th, 1945, in Peru, Indiana, to Elmer Correll Sr. and Mary Alice Correll (Zimmerman).
Arlice lived Her life as a cherished and adored mother, grandmother, sister, haircut giver, wisdom giver, peace keeper, and edifier. She would never pass up the chance to spend time with Her Loved ones, and would constantly text or call each of her many Children/Grandchildren and ask them to come and see Her. She loved to talk and laugh with Family, play Yahtzee, do crossword puzzles, play win-lose-or-draw, or play charades. Arlice also loved to dance, and especially loved dancing with Her Grandkids. She also enjoyed painting and drawing, and was a very gifted artist from her youth. She adored Elvis Presley and Tanya Tucker, and loved listening to their music. She would often listen to Elvis Music for hours on end. But what She held most dear to Her heart was Family and making great memories. Her entire face would light up with a smile when Her Loved ones walked through the door to visit Her, and Her Grandchildren made Her smile even bigger.
Arlice Loved the Lord, Jesus, and shared that Love with Her Family, or anyone on Facebook. She taught Her Loved ones to talk to Jesus, in the good times and in the tough times. Whenever tough times came, Arlice would tell everyone to hold hands in a circle and pray. She taught Her Loved ones to forgive others, be humble, and be kind. The only pride Arlice felt was for all Her Children/Grandchildren. The only reason Arlice would ever scold any of them was if they talked negatively about each other. She was an example and an inspiration to everyone that knew Her.
Arlice loved President Donald Trump, and would often be very vocal on Facebook about it. She loved sharing Jesus or sharing about President Trump to strangers in department stores, or anywhere else in public. And She had a kindness, and a way about Her, that others loved to listen to Her. Arlice never had much financial wealth, because She always gave her every last dime to anyone in need.
Nobody can fill Arlice’s shoes, and there will be a giant hole in the hearts of all Her Loved ones. She was the heart and soul of the Family.. She was the strength of the Family… She was what held the entire Family together, through the thick and the thin, in the past and the present. She was the strongest and most caring person. She will be missed dearly by all. But everything She shared with each of Her Loved ones, lives on… Her Love, Her humbleness, Her sweet demeanor, Her joy, Her strength, Her smiles, Her beauty, Her laughter, Her gratitude, Her forgiveness, Her humor, Her generosity, and even Her orneriness… She lives on in Her Loved ones… Though Her soul has left to be with the Lord, Her spirit still lives inside of All Her Loved ones.
