Alma Louise (Nickle) Estes

Alma “Louise” Estes, 88, of Peru, passed away at 7:35am on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born in Danville, Illinois on February 5, 1932, the daughter of Hershel and Ethel (Woods) Nickle.  She married William Estes on September 2, 1950.  He preceded her in death on February 15, 2013.  Louise was a homemaker, and a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by sons Dan Estes of Peru, Billy (Marty) Estes of Grand Junction, CO, Terry Estes of Vernal, UT, and Phil Estes of Peru.  Louise was grandmother to 8 grandkids, and 13 great-grandkids.  Also surviving is sister Joan (Paul) Walters of Columbus, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, son William, brothers Hershel “Junior” and Basil, and sister Betty.

 A private family graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating.
