Allen Hudson

Hubert (Al) Allen Hudson, 67, of Peru, passed away at 4:30pm on Friday, November 20, 2020. He was born in Peru on July 30, 1953, the son of Hubert and Maxine Hudson (Ashley). Al married Lana Green on January 8, 1983, and she survives.  Together, they had 3 sons who were the light of his life. Al was a lifelong resident of Peru and a graduate from Peru High School. He worked as a Wildlife Specialist at Mississinewa Reservoir for over 40 years until his retirement in 2018. When his boys were young, he spent countless hours on the baseball field coaching little league.

Al loved cruising on his motorcycle and in his 1977 Mercedes convertible. He was a disc golf enthusiast - if he wasn't on the course you could find him watching the pros on television. He spent much time caring for his animals who he loved so much - two miniature donkeys (Elvis and Sampson), dog (Woody), and cat (Bob). During the summers, you could find him in the pool, soaking up the sun.

Al adored his children and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife, Lana, are their three sons, Gabriel (Michelle) Hudson of Kokomo, Aaron (Kayla) Hudson of Kokomo, and Austin (Kaylan) Hudson of Bunker Hill; 4 granddaughters, Audrina, Ayla, Adelle, and Aubrie, and grandpup, Zelda. Al is also survived by his sister Patricia Hecht, of Hawaii.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Dave Cooley and Danny Cooley. His wishes to be cremated and no viewing or funeral will be honored.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association.
