Alice Faye (Haley) Pennington, 85, of Peru passed away at Dukes Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on August 13, 1937 to the late Charlie and Bessie (Chadwell) Haley. Alice married John Pennington in July of 1968 and he survives.
Alice was a self employed beautician and owner of Alice’s Hair Care. She enjoyed “deer hunting” or by Alice’s definition, driving around with her husband to look for deer. She also enjoyed watching game shows with her sister prior to her passing. She was lovingly referred to as “Nana” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, son, John (Tina) Pennington of Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Tracey Williams, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Alice is proceeded in death by her parents, sons; Barry Williams and Hubert Lee Williams, brother, Bill Haley and sister, Wilma Brewer.
Per Alice’s request, there will be no services.
