Timothy Eric Gysin, 62 passed away at 11am on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Peru on February 21, 1956 and was adopted by by David H. Gysin and Ella Louise Gysin. Tim was married to Gabriella Higgins on July 14, 2017. She survives.

Tim was a 1974 Peru High School graduate and enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and anything outdoors. He loved his dog Sienna and enjoyed taking her for walks. Tim loved watching football and NASCAR. Tim had many friends in Peru and Gary and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Gabriella Higgins of Gary, sister Kathy Hoover and her husband Jeff of Akron, his four children Darla Wilson of Peru, Shaun Gysin and his significant other Carrie Sivits of Peru, Natasha Baker and her husband Brian of Peru, and Micah Gysin and his significant other Katie Bammerlin of Peru, Also, his two stepchildren Michelle G. Jenkins of Gary, and Michael G. Higgins of Texas. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A service celebrating the life of Timothy Eric Gysin will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Zion Chapel Church, 915 South Broadway, Peru, with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Friends and family may call one hour prior to service.  There will be no graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Chapel Church.
