Sandra Sue Gable, 78, of Peru passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on June 27, 1940 in East Lansing, Michigan to Ivan Crittenden and Wava (King) Cureton. She was married to Jerry Gable, and he survives. Sandra retired as a payroll clerk at Grissom AFB, and was also an EMT in Bunker Hill. She was a school bus driver for Maconaquah Schools for many years, and also helped Jerry with farming by taking care of the books. She attended Loree Brethren Church and Peru Grace Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, and children Jeff Gable of Ohio, Laura (Steve) Monahan of Kenmore, WA, Rebecca (David) Goertzen of Fort Wayne, Beth Farmer of Kokomo, and Eric (JoAnn) Voss of Alexandria, brother Richard (Ruth) Crittenden; and sister-in-law Shirley Crittenden. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Amber Voss, and son Mike Gable; brothers Ivan (Jean) Crittenden, Charles Crittenden, Jack Crittenden (wife Shirley survives), Ed Crittenden, and Joe Crittenden; and sister Wava Holloway.
Visitation will be held from 2pm – 4pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm, Bunker Hill, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 4pm, with Rev. J. Robert Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Rankin Cemetery.
