Patricia Yard Obituary

Patricia Sue Yard passed away peacefully at 12:30 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Wellbrooke of Wabash surrounded by family and friends. She was born on August 18, 1938 in Peru, Indiana to Leonard Cecil Krile and Marjorie Elizabeth Krile. She married James Franklin Yard on May 18, 1960 in Peru, Indiana.

She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Peru, Indiana. She retired from Miller's Merry Manor as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, participating in her local Red Hat society and High School reunion group, and doing her daily crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband (James) and five daughters; Lee Ann Sellers and husband Richard, Gina Short and husband Darrin, Jami Correll and husband Kevin, Jodi Worden and husband Jeff, and Staci Creager and husband Jeff. She has ten grandchildren (Michael King, Jana Fouce, Hope Skurkis, Elizabeth Worden, Brett Worden, Ryan Sellers, Cassandra Worden, Seth Correll, Sage Correll, and Jillian Creager) and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sibling.

Visitation will be held from 11am – 1pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Peru.  Funeral service will follow at 1pm, with Pastor Kenneth Greenwald officiating.  Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
