Mark Alan Cornelius, 56, of Peru passed away on Saturday June 15, 2019 at Blair Ridge Health Campus.
He was born on January 21, 1963 in Belleview, Nebraska to Kermit Lee and Virginia Rose (Collins) Cornelius. A retired fire dispatcher at Grissom AFB, Mark also served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing, and was a member of Fuel Church in Kokomo, Indiana.
He is survived by his children, Jason Mark Cornelius and Cindy Rose Cornelius, both of Peru; a granddaughter Aubrielle; a brother Rick Cornelius of Omaha, Nebraska; and his ex-wife Darlene Cornelius.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4pm – 7pm on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 7pm, with Dan Melton officiating. Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team. Burial will take place at 10am on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Marion National Cemetery.
