Marjorie A. Gothard

Marjorie A. Gothard, 89, formerly of Peru, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at University Nursing & Rehab Center in Edwardsville, Illinois.

She was born on June 17, 1930 in Miami County, Indiana.  She married Lawrence E. "Jack" Gothard on April 26, 1952 in Denver, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on November 9, 2016.  A homemaker, Marjorie enjoyed reading and writing letters.

She is survived by her children Leanna Gothard of Troy, IL, Carol Olson of Mahomet, IL , Loren (Janet) Gothard of Galveston, Mark (Janice) Gothard of Nappanee, Joe Gothard of Peru, daughter-in-law Doris Gothard of Colorado Springs, CO, and sister-in-law Peggy Jane Vinson of Wabash.  Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Jack Gothard, her brothers Roy Vinson, Francis Vinson, Joseph Vinson, and Omer Dale Vinson, and her sister Imogene "Peggy" Lesley.

Visitation will be held from 10a - 12pm on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will follow at 12pm, with Pastor Jason Bowyer officiating.  Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana.
