Linda (Oaks) Rasmus

Linda Rasmus, 74, of Peru, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born in Elwood, Indiana on December 2, 1944 to Herman and Lorrine (Collins) Oaks.  She married Harold A. Rasmus Sr. on June 30, 1964.  He survives.  Linda was a homemaker, and she loved her grandkids, and enjoyed visiting casinos.

She is survived by her husband and her children, Cougar Rasmus (Teri) of Peru, and Troy Rasmus of Peru.  Also, her grandchildren: Brittany Rasmus, Bradley Rasmus, Matthew Rasmus Jr., Taylor Rasmus, Mamie Rasmus, and Nicolas Rasmus; and one great-grandchild, Gibson.  Also surviving are brothers Bartley Oaks (Sandy) of Peru, and Deon Oaks (Birdie) of Peru; and sister Mildred “Mickey” Arnett of Peru.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Dolly Oaks, and brother-in-law Charles Arnett.

Visitation will be held from 4pm – 7pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, December 6, 2019, with visitation one hour prior.  Pastor: Dr. Gregory Elkins will officiate.  Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana.
