Lavanche Faye (Sue) Dillman, 89, of Kokomo, IN went to her eternal home on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
Sue was born in Deedsville, Indiana on May 17, 1930 to Blanche (Grock) and Thomas Fitzpatrick. She graduated from Deedsville High School in 1948. She moved to Kokomo in 1956. She was one of the original members of Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church in 1959, and attended there until she retired from Delco Electronics in 1984 and moved to Spring Hill, Florida. She returned to Kokomo in 2000 and attended Bible Baptist Church.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially Canasta, bowling and watching baseball and basketball. She was a big fan of IU Basketball.
She married Donald Dillman on July 22, 1950. He preceded her in death May 30, 2013.
Surviving family include a daughter, Elizabeth Diane (John) Keith, a son Jeffrey Ray (Pam) Dillman, and a daughter in law, Mary Dillman. One son, Jerry Dillman, preceded her in death on February 22, 2015. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Mandy (Glenn) Bradley, Valerie Dillman, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Dillman, Jackie Dillman (Derek Irick), and great grandchildren, Kayla Bradley, Miley Bradley and Jackson Dillman.
Surviving siblings are: Marlene Kline, Kay (Norm) Fisher, and Roberta Roth. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Viewing will be held from 5pm – 7pm on Tuesday, November 12 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the funeral home, with Pastor Eric Alwine and Pastor Keith Treadway officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana.
