Peru resident, Kambrea K. Stroud, 45, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Kami was born on December 3, 1973 in Peru to Jim and Karen Stroud. She was a kind person with an iron will. She cared for her friends and family and would do anything she could to lighten their load when they found themselves in times of need. But with a heart of gold she still put up with no bologna. She made sure that people spoke honestly or not at all.
Kami worked a number of jobs in her life but her final position was with Schneider Electric where she worked with many amazing individuals that she cared deeply for and that cared for her just the same.
Kami is survived by her father, Jim Stroud, her sisters, Michele Flemming (Barry) and Brea Stepp (Steven), her son, Calip Deaton, her aunt, Evrille Draving, and her nieces and nephews, Riley, Ben, and Kaylee Flemming.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Karen Stroud (Draving), her uncles, Gary Draving and Scotty Sanders, her aunts, Joann Draving and Charlotte Sanders (Turnpaugh).
A viewing for Kami will be held from 2pm – 4pm on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 4pm, with Pastor Bob Adelsperger officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.
