Clarence (Junior) Cooley passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Junior was a man of peace and integrity. He loved life, family, all of God’s creatures, and greeted all with that beautiful smile.
He was a natural born farmer with skills and talents too numerous to mention. Junior’s greatest gift was the love and encouragement that he gave to all who knew him.
Junior is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara (Crain) Cooley. Also, three children: Janet Cooley, Sharen Cooley, and Patrick Cooley (Becca); six grandchildren: Kelley Barkell (Ryan), Elizabeth Bellar (Chuck), Kristen Betzner, Jessup Cooley, Elspeth Cooley, and Lauren Cooley; and six great-grandchildren: Elijah Barkell, Vada Barkell, Kash Bellar, Lyla Bellar, Reis Bellar, and Katherine Martindale.
Graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery at 10am on Saturday, August 3, 2019, with Pastor Steve Quinlan officiating. Following the service, a celebration will be held at the Peru Maennerchor. The family asks that you come with stories and memories of Junior.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Samaritan’s Purse or Peru Animal Care and Control.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
