Charlotte Louise Sanders

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, Charlotte Louise Sanders passed away at the age of 87.

Charlotte was born on June 26, 1932 in Peru, Indiana to Cecil and Norene Turnpaugh. She spent her early years in Indiana, where she was married and had two children, Christen and Kent Duckwall. Charlotte spent years traveling before settling in Mora, Mn. It was in Mora where she met her husband of more than 45 years. On October 1, 1973, Charlotte was united in marriage to Scott Sanders in Milbank, South Dakota. They spent many happy years living on their farm while both worked at Blue Water Yachts. Charlotte was very proud of her job as a seamstress. Sewing was one of her passions. After years of service Charlotte retired from Blue Water, but continued seamstress work from home.

She was preceded in death by her husband Scott Sanders, son Kent Duckwall, and parents Cecil and Laura Turnpaugh and Norene and Everett Draving.

She is survived by daughter Christen (Craig) Smith, her granddaughters, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters Claudia Seay and Evrille Draving, and many nieces and nephews.

Scotty and Charlotte were reunited the morning of their 46th anniversary, never spending an anniversary apart.

Friends and family will gather at 11am on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm Street, Bunker Hill, Indiana.  Burial will follow at the Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill, with Nelson Boyer officiating.
