Charles D. “Davey” Turpen Jr., 60, of Peru, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 23, 1959 to Charles D. Turpen Sr. and Margie D. (Chandler) Turpen. Davey was previously self-employed, loved fishing, camping, and semi’s, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Lee Turpen (Dixie) of Springville, Indiana, and Vandora Steiner (Dean) of Georgia. Also, brothers Russell Turpen of Peru, and George Turpen of Georgia; and sister Winifred Turpen of Peru. Also, grandchildren Charlie Steiner, Kaiden Steiner, Jeffrey Turpen, Timothy Covey, Cory Covey, and Jessie Covey. He also leaves behind his best friend, Mike Tschiniak, and his dog, Izzy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his fiancé Dena Wall.
