Bill Galloway Obituary

Bill H. Galloway, 83, of Peru, passed away at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana on Monday, October 21, 2019.

He was born to Howard and Jessie Galloway on May 6, 1936 in Milan, Tennessee.  He graduated from Halls High School in Halls, Tennessee.  Dubbed “The Colonel” Galloway, Bill was an “American hero”… he gave 20 plus years of his life to his country, retiring from the United States Air Force.  During and after, he bought and sold classic cars.  He owned B&B Classic Cars in Peru, Indiana for 45 years.

His pastimes were fishing, and buying, selling, and trading just about anything you could think of.  He loved to barter and wheel and deal.  He loved people.  He loved to joke and play and laugh.  He loved his family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He also enjoyed watching boxing, UFC Rodeo, and racing with family and sons on Saturday nights.

Bill is survived by his lifetime companion, Betty J. Galloway, the true one and only love of his life; and their children: William (Greg) (wife Shirley) Galloway of Peru, Darren (wife Kim) Galloway of Peru, and Derik (wife Judy) Galloway of Kokomo.  Also surviving are grandchildren: Gabriel Galloway, Gregory Galloway, Lisa Galloway Wiley, Lacey Knight, Cody Galloway, Koby Galloway, Kimberly Galloway, and Kailey Galloway; and great-grandchildren: Jainey Wiley, Josie Wiley, and Cortland Wiley, Dalan Phillips, Analey Phillips, and Kadin Knight.  Also, one brother Mike (wife Donna) Galloway of Tennessee; sister Betty Henderson of Mississippi, sister Linda Hilliard of Tennessee, and sister-in-law Patricia Galloway of Ripley, Tennessee

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brenda Kay Galloway, brother Paul Galloway, and grandson Ronnie Lancaster.
