Betty Graves Obituary

Betty I. Graves, 92, of Peru, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born in Peru on August 12, 1927 to Walter and Helen (Mooney) Rader. She married George Graves, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2005. A homemaker and a simple woman, Betty enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Graves (companion Dennis Leatherman) of Peru, Mike Graves (companion Sara Wooten) of Bunker Hill, and son Rick Graves’ companion Mary Sparks; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Bill Rader of Florida, and a sister Pauline Tucker of Peru.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Rick Graves, brothers Jack Rader, Robert Rader, Ronald Rader, and Jim Rader, and sisters Norma Adams, and Sandy Baber.

A private family service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
