Betty Cattin Obituary

Betty Cattin, 90, of Peru passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Autumn Ridge Nursing Home in Wabash, Indiana.

She was born in Miami County on October 30, 1928 to Jesse and Elsie Hight.  She married Clyde J. Cattin on November 26, 1947, and he preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by her three children: Julie Walker and husband Larry of Denver, In; Jim Cattin and wife Janet of Maine; and John Cattin and wife Debbie of Colorado.  Also surviving are grandchildren Jen Stuber and Shawn, Jessie Ewing and husband Steve, and Nick Cattin and Kristen Cattin.  Also, great-grandchildren Abbi and Sidney Stuber, Jakob and Mason Taylor, and Sydney Ewing and Gunnar Nelson.  Also, one great-great-granddaughter, Aria.  She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her parents, her brother Chet Hight, and great-grandson Zachary Stuber.

Betty loved to spend time with her grands and great-grands, crocheting and golfing.  After a long and sometimes hard battle with Alzheimer’s, we know that she is no longer suffering and is at peace.  She is already greatly missed.

Family sharing will be held from 2pm – 4pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Graveside service will follow at 4pm at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
