Frieda Marie (Deffner) Fisher

Frieda Marie Fisher (88 years old) 

She was born in Lengfurt, Germany on March 22, 1934 to Fritz and Sophie Deffner. She married James Fisher Jr. in Peru, Indiana. She passed away at Dukes Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 7 and went home to be with her Heavenly Father and family.

She was a loving, caring, mother, daughter, and especially the best grandma to her dear grandchildren.

She had two daughters and two sons – Marion (Murray) Brindle of Florida, Jim (Mandy) Fisher of North Grove, Lou Ann (Charles) Morris of Peru and Daniel Lee who proceeded her in death 2 years and her dear daughter-in-law, Mary Fisher.

She had nine grandchildren – Tamara Bliss of Florida, Benjamin Brindle (Cassie Mellado) of Florida, Jesse Brindle of Michigan, Jarod Morris of Tennessee, Shannon (Myles) Weaver of Mexico, Brandon (Courtlynn) Morris of Peru, Justin (Christie) Morris of Peru, Jimmy (Chelsie) Fisher of Converse, and Kyonna Fisher of Kokomo.

She also adored fifteen great-grandchildren; Amy Casey Hudson, Emma Bliss, Heidi Brindle, Piper Brindle, Parker Althouse, Jabriel Fisher, Waylon Morris, Izzik Morris, Corbin Morris, Becca Morris, Jaylen Morris, Ethan Weaver, Preston Weaver, Cameron Weaver, and Dylan Weaver. She has two great-great-granddaughters, Aurora Hudson and Maydelena Hudson.

She also enjoyed visiting and going out to dinner with her dear friends, Lorraine Bretzman and Grace Bowman who proceeded her in death and their very special chauffer, Carl Bretzman.

She was so proud of getting her American Citizenship in 1968.

Friends and family may call prior to the funeral on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru Indiana from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Murray Brindle officiating. Internment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be given to the kidney foundation.
