Deloris A. (Malott) Chilcutt

Deloris A. (Malott) Chilcutt, 88, of Peru, passed away at Blair Ridge Health Campus on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

She was born in Miami County, Indiana to the late Merlin and Lucy (Waisner) Malott on November 11, 1935. Deloris attended Butler School for all 12 grades. She worked at Courier Newsum trucking company for 30 years and later retired from the license branch as assistant manager.

Deloris married Robert Chilcutt on April 28, 1956 and they were married for 53 years until his passing on July 14, 2009.

She liked antiques, was a wonderful seamstress, and avid reader, but most of all, Deloris loved her family.

Deloris is survived by her three children; Cathy (Jeff) Lewis of Peru, Roger Chilcutt of Peru, Robert (Lorraine) Chilcutt of Peru, six grandchildren; Jessica Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Cory (Heather) Chilcutt, Daniel (Amy) Chilcutt, Kayla (Chris) Vaughan, Devon (Briley) Chilcutt, eleven great grandchildren, and a sister, Sue (Max) Hattery of Macy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will take place at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Matty Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
